Bingo Beginner

Posted under Bingo Fun Reviews by Admin on Monday 17 November 2008 at 2:30 pm

Well today I tried my hand at bingo for the first time. Personally I always had that preconception that bingo was for “old grannies” on a Saturday afternoon.

But with the growing awareness and popularity, I thought i must be missing out. So the first stop for me was Gaming Alerts, where i viewed bingo websites. I wanted to find out if I could test out one of these sites for free. Yes I know nothing in this world is free but low and behold I found a bingo site ‘Bingo id’ that gave away £2 free to first time players when they signed up.

Considering I had never played bingo before let alone online it was a surprise to find out you could play, for as small a sum as 10p. Obviously I would have no idea as to how much a person would spend in terms of time and money. But 10p must be a bargin in anybodies book.

Another misconception that I had was that online bingo would surely be a lonely event, where participants would play against each without any contact at all. So you can understand my shock to find the forums full of friendly conversation, the type you would expect to find at a social function and not in a cyber bingo hall.

All in all i can say that the experince has been a good one aided by the advice of Gaming Alerts and the freebies of Bingo id

Bingo Player banned from local Hall

A regular bingo player has expressed his anger after being banned from visiting his local Mecca Bingo hall. Murry Potter withdrew money from the hall’s cash machine only to discover the £100 consisted of fake notes.

Potter, aged 34 said “I showed the cashier the receipt I’d got from the machine, but she said they still couldn’t accept it. I’ve now been left £100 out of pocket, when both me and my wife are on benefit”

“I went there in the hope of making money, and this was the last thing we needed.

“I feel gutted, and from what I under-stand this has happened at this cash point before, so I’m wondering how long this will go on.

“The manager said he would have to check the CCTV and they have taken the money but have said they are still investigating it.

“I’ve been phoning them asking for the money repeatedly and I said I’ve reported it to the police, and now I’ve been barred from going there altogether.”

“We can confirm we have a report relating to counterfeit currency and we are investigating the matter” said a police spokesperson.

Mecca Bingo, said: “We are aware of the incident because a customer has approached us to say notes from the machine are counterfeit, but we do not know if it was from this machine or from somewhere else.

“Mr Potter has since been barred from our centre because he was found to have these notes.”
